Strange Phone Call

What was going to be spent as an afternoon of doing homework took a rather unusual turn when I received a call from my Dad.
Like my post about the Cheesecake factory, this may sound a little weird but let me explain why.
I answered the phone and I said "Wassup Dad?
"No reply.
"Dad, you there?"
Nothing.
"Dad? Dad? Father? You there?"
No replies, no matter how much I tried.
Most people would've hung up at this point, but I put it on speaker and continued my work. A short moment later I can hear faint voices on the other end of the phone. I recognized my Dads' voice, and I assumed the other voice was his work mate because they were laughing together.
At this point I began to assume this phone call was a 'pocket call', which can also be referred to as a 'butt dial.' This is when you can accidentally call someone while the phone is still in your pocket, funnily enough.
My assumption of this being the case was abruptly changed when I heard whispers. Not from my father or his colleagues, but it was more demonic.
I couldn't understand what the whispers were trying to say. All I know is that it was a whisper and not static or the noise the phone would be picking up when it's being moved around in the pocket.
This whispering kept going on for a while until finally there was one final, large sound. Ever a heard someone yell while whispering? Add a little demonic tone to that and you'll have what I heard right before the call was ended.
Has this ever happened to anyone before? Is this a supernatural occurence or my ears playing tricks on me?
